Then we (Baby and I) headed to Chattanooga to get some rest before our annual Black Friday shopping extravaganza! As always, it was fun and eventful. I think for the first time ever I bought more stuff than Sharon and Ruthie combined. I was able to find a lamp I had been looking for for the baby's room on sale! Happy Day! Ruthie, the Pusher, also convinced me to buy the sweetest little dress for baby. It's fine cordoroy and will be perfect for her right after she's born. It has little bloomers with it, because apparently you never let a little girl's diaper show... makes sense... just wish this rule lasted throughout a womans life!
That afternoon, Shannon and Papa (Shannon's Dad) drove up to Chattanooga and we all waited for the TORNADO to arrive. Ok, so it wasn't a real tornado, but that's what it often seems like when my whole family gets together for a holiday meal. It was a ton of fun and made me realize that next year when Baby is tiny that she will never leave my arms!
After much anticipation, we revealed Baby's name to my family. Shannon and I really think names are important and the legacy behind names even more important. We couldn't imagine Baby having a better legacy than to be named after her 3 grandmothers. My mom's name was Ada, my stepmom's name is Nancy Lynne, and Shannon's mom was Sue. So Baby's name will be Adalynne Sue Rainwater. We plan on calling her Adalynne or Addie, Adi, Addy, Addi (we still haven't decided on the spelling on that one out yet!)
Before Thanksgiving, I was visiting one of my favorite places, Hobby Lobby. I wasn't planning on doing the letter cutouts for the name on the wall in the baby's room BUT I found some that weren't just regular font and that were on sale! The only problem was that there was no "Y." So being the troubleshooter that I am I bought an "x" thinking I could just chop off a leg and turn it into a "y." Today, I went to Hobby Lobby again, and lo and behold, there was a "y" and still on sale! So here is her name... on the floor, but you get the idea!
If anyone needs an "X" just let me know, I've got an extra!

I LOVE your precious little girl's name!!!!! I'm so sad we didn't get to see you while you're here. Are you going to have any kind of shower here? I hope so! Also, I love the dress! I still ooo and ahhh over little girl clothes!
Considering my boys are both forcefull winds in that TORNADO I hope you have had time to recover from that... It's not every day that you experience a tornado that is out done by banging on the piano... Thank the LORD!
It was great to see you and Shannon, and I hope we didn't scare off Shannon's dad! I just love the baby's name -it's beautiful!
Love you!
