I am so thankful for entrepreneurs who see a way of gleaning as much money as possible off the vulnerable population of pregnant women! It was because of them that I got to go to a lovely business today and pay to have an elective ultrasound! Remember what it's like to have a massage? That was the atmosphere in the ultrasound room: soft lighting, soothing music, and calm environment. My only question is why didn't I think to start this business???
At the end of our AWESOME 15 minute session, I told the technician that I was going to have to come back every week at which point Shannon's pleased state changed and he quickly said, "Oh no, you won't." Oh well, it was worth a try. We couldn't stop saying "that was so much fun" the whole 45 minute drive home.
Here's the video. The baby was sleepy at first but wakes up about halfway through... not sure if the orange juice I drank had kicked in or if it was the fact that the technician was jabbing the US probe up and down on my uterus and saying "wake up baby." The video is 15 minutes long, but keep watching, the baby starts moving a lot more toward the end.
PS -- still too early to tell gender (I knew that was the only question you had)

That's so cool! I was wondering how you managed to get an ultrasound on a weekend -and for it to be that long! When will they check for gender? About 18 weeks or so? And, are you going to find out?! I know I'm not the only one wanting to know this!
And for the bacon, you make, and I'll induldge for both of us! Works for me!
