How to tell everyone

Ok, so Jennifer was easy. She called within two minutes of us hanging up with the nurse, while we were still doing the ugly cry I might add, and opened the conversation with, "So. When's your appointment?" Since we had be previously occupied, I couldn't think of a diversion fast enough. Shannon just sat there, with tears in his eyes, mouthing to me to just tell her. So I did. It went over well, she cried! So far the "Wait to Tell" plan was failing miserably.

Shannon and I have gone back and forth about twenty times. To tell or Not to tell, that is the question. He wanted to sky-write it the minute after the call from the doctor. I wanted to wait till I was 10 weeks or more. Uncharacteristicly, Shannon actually made a good argument. (He's not known for his debating skills especially when up against me, the master debator.) People have been praying for us and our lack of fertility for almost 3 years. They deserve to know that we're pregnant. Even getting pregnant has been a miracle. He made the point that if that terrible thing did happen, he wants his family and friends to be there bathing us in prayer through that as well. So I caved. A little. We told his parents this past weekend. Trying to have some sort of fun with it, we sent his sister Amber and brother Ben these pictures as clues. See if you can figure it out, they couldn't!
So we're slowly telling. I told my parents tonight. I think I actually felt genuine glee in my dad's voice, it was priceless! Nancy did exactly what I thought she would -- she screamed! I would have been disappointed if she hadn't! My sisters are next. I'm making a movie for them and will post it later. Today has been a doozy. More on another day.
