We just love our friend Shelley from church. She met us at the seminary and took 103 pictures! She's so sweet and will also be taking some newborn pics for us. Don't get scared of the large belly! I've added a week and a half to that! These were taken at 36 weeks and 1 day.
So, went to the doc today. I so very much wanted her to tell me to head to the hospital, but she didn't. She said I was dilated to a 2, but it was the way she said it that made me think she was just being generous. She said, "I'll just go crazy and call that a 2!" Didn't leave me feeling very confident in my "2ness". Then she said that Adalynne's head was low enough she could break my water today. I quickly responded, "OK!" but she didn't do anything! HOW RUDE! :) She did offer to induce me on the week of the 13th, but I turned her down. It took all the strength and will-power I had to say no. Thankfully I just watched a good friend of mine have a 15 hour labor with her 3rd child... first induction, longest labor. So we'll just wait for God and Adalynne to decide when her entry into this world should occur. I've had such a great pregnancy so far and have done so well, so I'm confident that it'll all be fine. If I just didn't get all "stove up" everytime I sit down...
Thank you all for praying for us about our email we sent out Monday. We were both exhausted and in need of support. I have physically been back to normal (well, my pregnancy normal) the last two days and Shannon has regained mental strength. Your prayers were so needed and were so much help!
About the house... we got Shannon's VA certificate of eligibility today!!!! WHOO HOO!! We got the full entitlement allowable which is an absolute miracle! So everything is into the underwriter and we should know a definite by Tuesday. Our next closing date is set for Wed, April 8. Side note: I have no clue how people with bad credit buy a house. We both have really good credit and we still have had to write letters and send in copies of this and that. It's incredible!
God is so gracious and we don't deserve any good thing He gives us. We have found it's so much easier to just rest in His timing. We had been paddling so hard trying to get stuff done that we had no control over, but when we stopped digging in so hard, we realized that His current would carry us to where we needed to be. This is so hard to do, but we're trying!
Keep Praying! It's hard to believe that in just a couple of weeks or so, we should be carrying our new baby daughter! How exciting!
Bath time. My greatest comfort these days... next to the bowl of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream with Magic Shell that I eat right before Bath Time!
