Just in the nick of time, a friend from Brainerd sent me a link to a blog written by an L&D nurse who's main topic is unnecessary birth interventions. It was so needed and such an encouragement to me. I was on the verge of calling the doc today and saying, "let's get this thing over with." My anxiety is taking over and I am having crazy thoughts that need to be battled!
The main idea I gleaned from the blog is that natural labor is natural and safe and interventions are risky. I'm trying to repeat that in my head... over and over. So, I will continue to walk... among other things. Long John Silver's sounds good for lunch. If that doesn't cause some abdominal contractions, nothing will (I know, I know, major T.M.I.!!!). The $8 meal for two last night was a good start. We got two hot dogs, Funions, and a shaved ice from the hot dog stand outside of Lowe's. They have the best hot dogs!
Still no news on closing. The last extension we sent the seller guessed our closing for Friday, the 17th (ironically, our due date and the first date our realtor suggested when we made the initial offer on the house). I used the word "guessed" for a reason. Not holding my breath.

I think that when the little baby in the black box starts knocking on the computer screen -screaming "Let me out" you'll explode with laughter which will send you into labor! hmmm... Wishful thinking...

One of the Pastor's here said Egg Plant Parmesean will help induce labor.... not sure if it will work, but he has two beautiful little girls now and another one on the way-- due in July.... three weeks before my little girl was due.... kind of sad to think about, but I am very excited for you.
