We went today for our 17 1/2 week appointment. I know, not sure why we are on such an odd schedule. The heartbeat was 151 and way too cool! The doctor got onto me for being dehydrated... who knew! I try to drink a ton, I sure go to the bathroom a lot for being dehydrated.
Then there was discussion of THE ultrasound. They scheduled us for Friday but Shannon can't get off work. Because she trusts the US tech so much, the doctor really wants us to have it there and not at the hospital. Again, Shannon can't get off work. We want to do everything together and I can't imagine having this without him. But, I also want the best exam possible. So I think we've decided for me to go ahead and have it at the doctors office. Then when it comes to the point where they look for "the stuff" I will tell the tech not to show me anything and take pictures and put them in an envelope with the gender answer. This way we can open it together when I get home. Not our number one pick, but it might have to do.
So it looks like we might know pink or blue before we thought! I was wanting to find out before Thanksgiving.

I think your solution is the best you can do in that situation. It stinks but it'll still be very memorable!! Hey, at least you're finding out soon!!! I can't wait to know too!
I'm so glad that you're doing well. Oh, and I don't think you're crazy for cloth diapering. I was going to do it before "there were 2!" EVERY plan we had changed at that point! Hey, I'm still going to try to make some of their baby food so that's good - right?! LOL
We love you guys so much and can't wait to see you at Thanksgiving! Do you want to try to get together? I know there won't be much time that you're here so just let me know what you want to do. And if it's a boy - you can go shopping in the boys' closet!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! My bet is it is a little boy. I think his name is Sam. No wait, I think it is a little girl...named...Sandy...hmmm whichever - it will be wonderful!!!
